Cherry Almond Mint Granola

Healthy herb granola to enjoy and give as gifts. This is a hearty granola that is loaded with delicious tasting morsels. The protein and fiber helps reduce cholesterol.  The mint contain vitamin C and antibiotic substances.

Ingredients

3 cups thick and rough oatmeal

1cup oat bran

1 cup flax seed

1 cup sliced almonds

1 Tbsp vanilla

½ cup maple syrup

¼ cup honey

¼ cup fresh organic mint leaves, chopped

1 cup dried cherries

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°. Mix oatmeal through mint in a large bowl. Spray a large baking pan with cooking spray. (I like to use Coconut oil spray).  Transfer granola mix to baking pan.  Smooth out to create an even layer.  Bake for 45 minutes, stirring a few times.  Remove from oven, stir in cherries, allowing to cool.  Store in an airtight container.
